Since 2004, SASDI has been working in partnership with local and international donors, NGO’s, churches, community-based organisations, and corporates to develop and implement high impact social investment projects that deliver meaningful results to all stakeholders. Our projects change lives

SASDI worked with members of the Mfuleni community who were already involved in the provision of support of Early Childhood Development. Between 2010 and 2011, SASDI opened a new facility called the Mfuleni Centre for Early Childhood Development to replace a ‘shack-creche’ facility run by Principal Sandra Lucas.

Between 2011 and 2012 SASDI worked with Social Entrepreneur Amelia Poswa to build her dream. A new, village-based mixed residential facility, with early childhood development capacity for up to 60 children. The children were residing with her at the time, at the Sakhumzi Centre.

SASDI was recruited by The Homestead (An NPO that focuses on the protection and upliftment of orphans and vulnerable children), to fundraise and build a Child and Youth Care Centre in Site C, Khayelitsha. SASDI raised over R10 million and the Centre which includes a residential care facility, training Centre and community hall was opened by The Mayor of Cape Town in 2013.
